Bill Hart came up with these evocative photos from his days at St Columba's
for us
for which, we are very grateful. (He was there from 1955 - 1957)

The refectory at St Columba's which Bill thinks must have been
taken
at tea in the afternoon because of the absence of any
of the priests. A piece of daily life frozen in time !
Bill writes : "Some people were
moving and appear blurred,
but I can make out (from left to right) the side
of Tony Carolan's head,
Tony Baggott facing the camera and behind him, David Pendlebury
;
John MacDonald is standing in the middle; then (in the distance)
Stephen Shevlin, Steve Duggan, Tommy Power (half hidden)
and
Tom Dooley ; Trevor Robinson shows up clearly with Frank
Murphy
turning around in front of him; the blurred face at the nearer table
could
be Bernard Melling ; Frank Richardson and David Jeffrey
(latter blurred) opposite him at the same table are half-turned
round; and
Mick Nolan's face can be seen between them."
