St Columba's College - a drawing by MT Flynn published in the Summer edition
of The Pelican, 1955.
Who was MT Flynn - there's no record of his/her name in the magazine,
nor
in Peter Finn's database of ex-WF students.
A parishioner?
Pat McHale kindly wrote the folowing in reply:
"If I'm not mistaken the artist lady Mrs Flynn was art teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas in Edinburgh.
A friend of Father T O'D she gave us some lessons on the occasional Saturday morning 1960.
She also did the murals at Sancta Maria abbey Nunraw East Lothian, I think"

This was taken before the fire at St Columba's. John thinks that the threesome
includes
"Duke" and "Ozzie" but needs some confirmation.
Any ideas ?
Is "Ozzie" the nickname for Thomas Osowski or David O'Sullivan
perhaps ?
Maurice Billingsley writes (February 2011) :
" Roland Duke and Thomas Ossowski
We had a cold spell which included a manhunt through
The Valley and a tinker camp in the snow.
Thank you Mrs Hughes! "
