Pelicans, family and friends are all invited to Bishops Waltham on Saturday and Sunday the 26th and 27th May 2012 to celebrate the centenary of the White Fathers’ arrival in this country.

Saturday 26th: Mass at 5.30pm at which Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, MAfr, and Fr Paul Hannon, Superior of the GB Sector, will be present. Mass will be followed by a reception in the Parish Centre.

Sunday 27th: (Pentecost): Mass at 9.30am, followed by garden party in the church grounds. The Masses will be in the church of Our Lady Queen of Apostles. There will also be an exhibition in the Parish Centre. Members of the hierarchy, diocesan clergy, and clergy of other faiths are being invited. There will be about 20 White Fathers present on both days — so it should be a joyful event and a rare occasion to meet many former confrères.

Because of the numbers expected and preparations to be made, please let me know by email if you hope to attend (peterfinn979@btinternet.com)

There will also be a celebratory Mass and reception at Our Lady Queen of Apostles, Heston, on Wednesday 4th July in the afternoon or evening.
